  • Does it feel like you are just “getting through” life?
  • Do you wonder why you can’t seem to do what YOU want to do?
  • Would life be better if it weren’t for someone else–your parents, your spouse, your kids, your ex, the government?
  • Is this just your lot in life, to be powerless, inferior, or just one of the unlucky ones?
  • Do you consider yourself a victim of circumstance? A martyr?
  • Do you feel numb, detached, or complacent–because nothing you do really matters anyway?
  • Are these feelings chronic?
  • Has there ever been a time when you believed you could have something better?

Why do I feel this way?

There are many reasons a person might find themselves sleepwalking through life, as if they’ve been hypnotized, unaware that they can effect positive change in their life:

  • Family/generational patterns, beliefs, habits, and behaviors that have been passed on, either genetically or through modeling.
  • Personal experiences and how they have been processed and perceived by the individual.
  • False and limiting beliefs that have taken root in both the conscious and subconscious mind.
  • Lack of direction, guidance, or awareness.

These and other factors can be dream snuffers, energy drainers, and life stealers. They stem from lies people tell themselves and others, false beliefs that have been firmly planted in the mind and never thoroughly examined, by both well-meaning as well as corrupt sources. If not discovered and corrected, one might find themselves just wandering through life, meeting obligations from day to day, taking care of basic needs, but rarely seeing the sunshine through the dark clouds that continuously hang over their head; never progressing up the road of possibilities because they simply can’t see a way around the roadblo dreamstime_xs_169771591-300x220 Wake Up  cks that look more like brick walls. No wonder people lose sight of the possibilities in life!

The loss of personal power causes one to feel drained, always struggling, and unhealthy physically, mentally, and/or emotionally. It’s no wonder we feel powerless when we compare ourselves with others, blame our parents, spouse, or kids, complain that nothing goes our way, and justify our poor behaviors, seeing that there’s no other way but to settle for a life of drudgery, where everything is hard and there’s nothing you can do about it! Right? I know, I’ve been there, and it’s miserable.

At its worst, this victim mentality will drag you down into the depths of despair. At its best, you find yourself surviving, but unable to quench that desire for something better. You’re always grasping for some sign that life will get better, but never quite able to grab hold of the “good life.”

Those who suffer from this mentality have lost their dreams or never had any to begin with. Whether you came to this earth with these tendencies or whether life has dealt you some hard blows and you’ve lost your way, there is hope!

Wake up and start dreaming!

Until you know this for yourself, you are welcome to rely on my experience and belief that things can and will get better! Plant the seed of hope in your mind and in your heart and allow it to take root.

We all have a spark of divinity within us. Come back to this website often and ignite the light that is within you!  This information is given freely because I know who you are. I know your worth. I know your potential. All you need is a hand up. So take it.

I can offer you hope because I’ve experienced victim mentality. I’ve lived with a survivor mentality. I’ve experienced heartbreak, divorce, financial struggle, despair, loss, disappointment, disease, weakness, betrayal, insecurity, self-doubt, anger, bitterness, regret, lack, and fear, and on and on. I’ve been there, but I am happy to say that you don’t have to stay there! I am so grateful that I woke up and discovered the truth. It doesn’t matter what circumstances you were born into. It doesn’t matter what you’ve experienced, what mistakes you’ve made, or what others have done to you.

Did you know that your greatest strength may also be your greatest weakness?

The most powerful and influential person in your life is YOU! The most important influence in your life has been and will always be the thoughts YOU think. Whether they help you or hurt you depends on the positive or negative energy you have assigned to each one of them. Oh sure, other people may try to influence you, but no one truly has more power over your thoughts than you. Your mind and your spirit, when rightly empowered, can and will do great things for you! This awakening truth can truly set you free—free to choose, free to change, free to improve each day, free to create a new life, designed on purpose, free to live, free to love, and free to find joy in every step of your journey. I’m excited and you should be, too!

Perspective

As you gain new perspectives, identify and eliminate false and limiting beliefs, and embrace new thoughts, habits, and behaviors, the things you now see as adversity can become stepping stones on your journey to create a better life. With a new perspective, trials can become teachers and challenges often reveal themselves as gifts. You’ll learn to replaced the old “glasses” with a new prescription that offers much better vision. It won’t be that the things you are looking at have changed, but that the way you look at things has changed. You’ll find your vision becoming clear. You’ll see things around you that you didn’t even notice before.

You’re in good company

Know that everyone struggles with something. No one is exempt. Oh, you may think you know someone whose life seems perfect, but until you’ve walked in their shoes, you can never know their thoughts and feelings, their struggles and adversities.

You are not alone. We all struggle. The only difference may be that some people have learned to turn their pain into compassion and understanding, their failure into triumph, their bitterness into forgiveness, their doubts into hope and faith, their challenges into opportunities to learn and grow, and their weaknesses into strengths.

One step at a time

How do you do it? I’ll show you, one step at a time, one day at a time, one principle at a time. We are each a work in progress and everyone is on a journey. Where we sometimes fall short is in thinking that we can only be happy if/when we reach the ever-elusive destination where “happiness” resides. But, the truth is, happiness is not a destination. Happiness is a choice. It’s way of looking at things. It is a mindset. It is a gift we can give ourselves and others throughout every step of the journey–a journey designed to show you a better way, to connect you with your purpose, and shift you out of a victim or survivor mentality into one of thriving!

When you are thriving, you are connected with your passion and purpose. You are deeply rooted in your individual worth and infinite possibilities. The dreams and desires of your heart have been awakened . . . dreams that enliven your mind and drive you to keep moving forward, despite challenges and difficulties.

The good news is that, now that you are reading this, you are more aware than you were a few minutes ago! Stick with it and you will be empowered to wake up and start dreaming, planning, and creating the life you want to live.

Write a new story

You can start a new chapter in your life story at any time! Begin now to tell a new story. Let the old stories of the past fade away. Retain the lessons that you learned and be grateful for those experiences. But, stop telling the old, sad stories. That isn’t your life anymore! You are creating a new life story.

Take charge

Once you are awake, it’s virtually impossible to go back to sleep! You are in control of your own mind and thoughts. You get to choose every moment of each and every day how you will respond and what you will do to begin anew.

Set a new course

But be patient. Like a ship, your life won’t turn on a dime, but if you will set a new course, your life will take a new direction. Some things may change right away while others will take time. When you are clear about the direction you want to take, when your vision of your future is clear, there is nothing anyone or anything in the universe can do to stop you from achieving that which is yours to achieve.
